The boat was exactly as advertised and worked flawlessly. Our kids had a great time and in two hours we toured all 5 lakes around Okaboji. We'll be back next summer.
BEWARE!!!! If you want to rent from this place, take a video and pictures of the boat and prop before you leave. They showed us that our boat had a damaged prop before we left. They said it wouldn't be a problem and for us to stay in the middle of the bay. We did exactly that and when we returned the boat, they claimed we damaged the prop even more. I told the employee that we never went in shallow water and I am a very experienced boater. I told him there was no way we hit anything due to where we went and what we did on the water. They said we owe $250 and we are lucky because they should've charged us $1200. I don't understand how am establishment can claim something that was already damaged was even more damaged. They had no proof but because we signed for this scam, we had to pay it. I'm an honest man but this was a COMPLETE SCAM. They wanted a new prop before the end of the season and we were the lucky renters who got to pay for it!!! DON'T RISK IT WITH THIS BUSINESS.
We rented a pontoon on Labor Day weekend and it was our favorite part. The staff were friendly and helpful. Plus, there's a nice shop with some gifts, essentials like sun block, beer, snacks and clothing.
Excellent service from the young by kids that work there. Friendly service and very helpful. Please be sure to tip them if you feel the service was good. I have a feeling they don't get the appreciation they deserve.
This place is a complete SCAM!!! We went out on the lake and when we came back the gentlemen at the dock told us that we scratched their prop and would charge us $250 for it. We know we didn't scratch the prop because my husband saw the prop before going out and it looked exactly the same as it came in. Looking through the reviews they have a history of doing this to their customers. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!
The boat we had was quite new and nice. All the people we dealt with were good. I will go back!
